Ankle Foot Stretches
Calf stretch
Hold: 20 seconds
Reps: 5 times
Movement
Begin sitting in an upright position with a strap looped around the ball of one foot and your leg straight
Pull upward on the strap, bending your foot toward your body, until you feel a stretch in the back of your calf and hold.
Tip
Make sure to maintain an upright posture and keep your knee straight during the stretch.
Soleus stretch
Hold: 20 seconds
Reps: 5 times
Movement
Sit in an upright position with a strap around one foot, holding the end in your hands, with your knee bent.
Gently pull on the strap, bending your foot upward until you feel a stretch in the back of your lower leg. Hold this position.
Plantar fascia stretch
Hold: 20 seconds
Reps: 5 times
Movement
Sit with one leg crossed over the other so you can hold your foot with your hands.
Use one hand to hold your foot in place while using your other hand to bend your big toe backward until you feel a stretch in the bottom of your foot.
